This page from our hit baby journal, The New Parents’ Fun Book, is so unintentionally seasonally themed that we couldn’t help but share. The New Parents’ Fun Book baby journal has been really well received and pages like this are the reason. Instead of recording usual the boring line-up of relatives, why not group them by their “stand-out” personalities? Who is the funniest? Who tells the best stories? Who’s been arrested? You know your tree is full of these kinds of nuts!

Marisa Bardach over at babyzone.com put together a great little list of the top 10 little things that find their way into little noses. Crayons and fingers are expected, but french fries? It’s funny how much of it’s food related! And Wii remotes didn’t make the list at all. Weird.

When we had our little guy, the delivery was all over the map. From dramatic to scary to hard to easy to downright dull (gotta love the epidural). Although it’s my biased opinion that Kelly is a pretty great Mom, that’s not what I meant about being a “model parent”. Not many people know that the pathetic parents on our funny baby clothes and in our hit book, Safe Baby Handling Tips, are actually Kelly and I. When we sat down to write Safe Baby Handling Tips and Safe Baby Pregnancy Tips, we found ourselves excitedly acting out what sick scenarios we’d want to include.

I draw everything for Wry Baby’s cool baby gifts and since the drawings were going to be so detailed in that power-tool-instruction-type style, we grabbed a camera to capture our brainstorming sessions so I could have a little reference scrap. I’m still pretty embarrassed about the whole “Nursing Baby” page from the Safe Baby Pregnancy Tips book (as you can imagine) and I won’t punish you with that reference shot (you’re welcome).
