Actually, it should be “ROCKED”. Past tense. We didn’t have much time to post our NYIGF shenanigans this year. New booth location and a TON of new products to set up and show off made not much time for blog-related hilarity. But we DID have a blast in the Big Apple. The NYIGF is such a fun show to do. We got to see all our fun store friends from all over the world, shop in our favorite NY haunts and still have plenty of Wry Baby family fun. Here are some snaps from our fun adventure!

Our design theme for this line was pretty clear and we had a ton of fun with the subject matter. From the bald truth of Mommy’s Little Helper and 100% Pure Baby Bliss to the edgy Punk-ifier, we put our finest wit to the task. We even got to borrow from our best-selling Snapsuit designs (Keep On Suckin’ and Pacifiy This!) to create an opportunity for some fun couplings for your next baby shower.

Pacifier cases. They exist, but they’re pretty boring and pretty impractical. Why? Because having a safe place to stash a pacifier is only half the problem. Once you successfully pop a soaking wet pacifier into a case, you’ve got some disgusting prospects to face when you need to unpack it later. That’s why Wry Baby designed our new ZIPPIT™ Pacifier Cases with…wait for it… an air vent! So those little life-savers get a chance to dry out before you need them again! Oh, and you WILL need them again.

As we round the corner and head into the week before the New York International Gift Fair, we feel we need to share some super bad news with you all. It’s true that Wry Baby is launching 30 NEW fun products in NY and among them is the brand new…wait for it…Super Bad Super Snapsuit!

We were hoping to add onto our popular line of Super Snapsuits and were working on doing just that in our underground laboratory when suddenly a radioactive cobra bit Dave and a team of highly trained monkey ninjas blew the place up. From the wreckage came this, the Super Bad Super Snapsuit! It’s not available in stores this Spetember, but we thought you’d like some sneak peeks at what will be available this Fall. The New York International Gift Fair is finally over, the Wry Baby booth is tucked away into it’s spankin’ new, customized  rock-star Roadie case and we’re back in the saddle here at Wry Baby HQ. It was great to see all our fun store friends and show off all the new goods we launched. Seven new Snapsuits will be coming to a store near you this week! Once we get that squared away, we’ll share all the newness with you! For now, here’s some snaps of our time in NY! Enjoy!

Well, it might as well be a nutshell. Despite launching the most new fun baby clothes and accessories ever, when we broke down the new booth every single thing we offer fit in this little box! Crazy!

A testament to our new packaging, all 15 new baby gifts along with 36 other fun baby items fit in this bitty widdle box!

It was sort of all a blur. That’s how the big August show has gone in the past and it was nice (“in this economy”) to have it back! For the first time, stores from all over the world were introduced to Wry Baby’s signature Snapsuit™ in three new colors (Grape, Tomato and Gooseberry) and with 13 fun, new designs! They also come in some sexy, brand new packaging that’ll be easier to gift wrap and easier to spot from across a crowded boutique. Below I’m posting some scenese from the show and some of the favorite designs you’ll see in a fun store near you around the end of September. Keep your eyes peeled!

Of the 15 new funny baby clothes and accessories we launched this week, Future Cougar was considered the best. But it was close! Pretty much everything we launched was a hit and a half. Above is a nice shot of our new, slim packaging, too.

At the end of the NYIGF, we usually grab some beers and head to the roof of our favorite hotel on the Upper West Side for a little R&R before heading home. Here’s a shot of our 3rd Grade Chess Champion schooling his Pop. And, yes, that’s a Mario Bros. themed chess board!

We had to get back to the Javits to make sure our giant can lights were focused on the fun in booth 1740, but we got to get out and go shopping for the afternoon. A nice break before Wry Baby Dave gets locked into the Javits for the rest of the trip. Can’t wait for tomorrow, the start of the NYIGF!

On our half-day-of-NY-fun, we stopped by one of our favorite haunts, Kid Robot. I was looking for a Sof’Boy vinyl figure and found the ultimate. $300 for this giant version that I’d never get home in one piece. Sof’Boy is a gloriously inappropriate comic book about a little glob who is abused in the most graphic of ways while keeping the most positive of attitudes. Want to see more?
