Oh yes. Although spoiled children are my bread and butter, I offer some simple alternatives to going broke in order to give your kids a fun childhood. We don’t know if Christina Aguilera uses the Wheel of Responsibility, but the latest issue of InStyle Magazine (October 2009) proves that she’s got one! Not only does she HAVE one, she has it at the ready on her kitchen counter. InStyle did a whole thing on Christina Aguilera’s home (crazy retro cool) and one of our favorite shops in San Francisco, Wishbone, spotted our fun baby shower gift sittin’ pretty on the counter. What’s REALLY weird is that none of our fun stores saw that on the back cover of InStyle’s October issue, Wry Baby Dave makes a guest appearance in the latest D&G ad. It’s like it’s the Wry Baby issue of InStyle! Sexy!

One of my favoritest ever blogs is Lovely Package. It’s a parade of the most beautiful packaging from around the world. Well, Lovely Package featured Mysterio Predicts’ rustic package last week! Mysterio has far been one of my favorite products to create. While the concept is super fun and unique (Mysterio predicts your child’s FUTURE on a t-shirt), my favorite part was making the POP display. It’s a handmade, stained pine crate from a family operation, Poole & Sons in Emmett, Idaho. I love contacting a vendor and telling them I want something really rough and messed up. That the printing should be bad, but legible and if some of the boxes come kind of broken, that’s okay. Any art-types in the crowd can testify that the hardest thing to make is something intentionally bad and  I’m glad Mysterio’s packaging ended up bad enough to make it onto Lovely Package. We’re truly honored!

It being St. Patricks’ Day and all, I thought I’d write about a different kind of green. As in our greener than green organic baby clothes and outfits. The whole darn earth-loving line was spotted as a feature on inhabitots (the green baby blog) and we’re tickled, um, green? It’s a great article and as the esteemed Desmond Williams puts it:

“…you’ve got to see this onesies logo, based on hairy armpits for yourself.”

It’s been a week of hot press leading up to the big New York International Gift Fair and the launching of Wry Baby’s new Spring line.
