Organic baby clothes from Wry Baby are getting closer every day. We’re about to head to NY for the big International Gift Fair that opens next Sunday and we’ve got lots of new stuff to show off! Below is one of four new apparel items we’ll be launching. Coming from San Francisco, we’re intimately familiar with the ways of a true organic lifestyle and we thought that was sorely lacking from the trend of organic clothing for babies.

BTW, our organic baby clothes are made with premium organics. SKAL certified 100% organic yarns and waterbased inks. We also have long, luxurious armpit hairs that we comb 100 times a day. Every day. I’m combing right now.

Organic baby clothes are hot. Not in a greenhouse gas kind of way, but in an OMG-I-gots-to-get-environmentally-conscience-right-now kind of way. We here at Wry Baby are getting ready to launch our twisted version of the green movement by offering a slew of new organic goodness. Next week, in NY, we’ll be unveiling our entire line of Wry Baby Organics. All our organic baby clothes are made from SKAL certified 100% organic cotton and let me tell you, it’s thick, it’s soft and it rocks. Our inks are water-based, too. And while we don’t pretend to know where the Netherlands is, we do know that their guidelines are as rigid as the wooden shoes they probably wear. Making organic baby clothes is still a difficult thing to do despite the ongoing global warming hoo-ha. We were surprised to find that when we started ramping up production on some new goodies we’re bringing out this Summer. You want to do it. It’s right to do it. Everyone wants it, but sometimes no matter how hard you try to make everyone happy, it misses. We all want organics, but the business of it is still fraught with peril. It’s still very early in the organics game and sadly, the ones on the forefront, the risk takers, are always hit the hardest. While researching possible organic vendors to work with, I came across this online notice that encapsulates the whole story. While sad, it made me chuckle a bit because, as the great Homer Simpson once said, “It’s funny because it’s true.”
