Halloween is our favoritist holiday ever! So how could we not do a special Halloween baby outfit for the occasion? Um. No, but a while back, Cookie Magazine did a lifestyle piece on we funny baby clothes experts at Wry Baby. Little did we know we’d eventually be billed as “parenting experts” to boot! While you read about it here at cookiemag.com, we’ll be penning our memoirs.

We just launched a whole line of funny baby gifts in New York (the newly, plushly hilarious Wry Baby Organics, our new book AND our new burp cloth sets) and the treats keep coming with a special project we did for a special someone. It’s not hit shelves yet (a manager in the O.C. says he hopes to get his out next week), but I thought I’d post a little teaser shot for y’alls. A rather tortured title to explain that a lot of Wry Baby shower gifts are featured on the user comment site, buzzillions.com. BABY 1, BLOCKS 0 – This product was easy for the 14-month-old baby to stack, knock down, then stack again, then knock down…very much like playing “Peek-a-boo!” She loves it.

VERY POPULAR WITH THE LITTLE ONE – I gave this to my friend’s 22 month-old son for Christmas. I remembered playing with similar toys as a child. I was somewhat concerned that it was being sold as a toy for a “baby” when the child I was purchasing it for is becoming a “toddler”. But I didn’t need to worry- he loved the toy and his mom tells me that he plays with it all the time. As the description says, all of the details are also fun for adults to enjoy.

It’s so fun to hear that our intentions are well received once our fun baby shower gifts get to our tiny end users. It makes us feel less crazy. It’s also nice to see get some conformation that being unique in a world of Babies ‘R’ Us, big box blandness is still a worthwhile venture. Of all the comments about our stacking block shower gift, “uniqueness” was the most noted feature. Yay for different!

This toy used to creep me out big time. I always wanted one really bad, but simultaneously secretly dreading having him around. I finally bought him years ago and he’s lived in his box, in another box (with a stack of heavy books on top!) until this very afternoon. Yes, I took him out on my own. But I’m going to California this afternoon and SOMEONE has to stay behind to scare the bad guys away. And Hugo’s the man for the job!

Hugo, Man of a Thousand Faces, is seen wearing Wry Baby’s funny baby outfit, SOMEDAY I’LL HAVE A HAIRY CHEST. He originally asked for a shirt that said “Someday I’ll Have Buck Teeth, Mutton Chops, A Scar on my Cheek and and Eye Patch”. We don’t make that one. Yet.

While attempting to hold secret our secret political preferences, we just love this little animated gif. Not solely for it’s partisan leanings, but because it has something to do with Pokemon. And we are ALL ABOUT the Pokemon over here, Friends. It’s our familiarity that makes the following little internet meme so near and dear to our creative little hearts. Kudos to you, left-leaning meme makers! Kudos to you!

To be fair and balanced, we’re looking for the following game themed, Republican come-backs:

• Donkey Obama can’t throw enough barrels down at that that spunky little McCain!
• Yu Gi Oh! Version where McCain uses the Alaskan Angel card to trump Obama’s Magic Hope Spell.
• Obama passes GO to land on Pennsylvania Avenue but finds McCain Hotels a plenty.
• Sarah Palin’s family fills two cars full of children. Not just winning the VP post, but the game of Life as well!
• McCain carjacks a taxi, drives over 3 civilians in a park before brutally killing 20 bodyguards at an old warehouse before regaining health points with a prostitute behind a liquor store. Obama’s not in it, but it would be fun to see none the less, yesno?
• Obama is the paddle line on the left, McCain is the paddle line on the right and they try to hit the little square “ball” past each other!

Salespeople will be rude and your grocer may angrily turn you away. You will curse yourself for forgetting the fashion dictate that white clothes are not to be worn, by adults OR children, after Labor Day.
