This toy used to creep me out big time. I always wanted one really bad, but simultaneously secretly dreading having him around. I finally bought him years ago and he’s lived in his box, in another box (with a stack of heavy books on top!) until this very afternoon. Yes, I took him out on my own. But I’m going to California this afternoon and SOMEONE has to stay behind to scare the bad guys away. And Hugo’s the man for the job!

Hugo, Man of a Thousand Faces, is seen wearing Wry Baby’s funny baby outfit, SOMEDAY I’LL HAVE A HAIRY CHEST. He originally asked for a shirt that said “Someday I’ll Have Buck Teeth, Mutton Chops, A Scar on my Cheek and and Eye Patch”. We don’t make that one. Yet.

Hugo was created in 1975 and has been a source of joy/terror for many. While I have his many disguises, I can’t be sitting around gluing them on all day. I’ve got other stuff to make! Learn a little more about my smooth featured man Hugo at retroland.com.
