We spend all day every day thinking of the parenting experience in a way that’s totally out of the box. And we’re big fans of anything that can redefine what it’s created for (does that make sense?). Now, we’re not huge Radiohead fans. Although we were among the first to pick up their first album, Pablo Honey, way back in ’93, they got all big while we were distracted. But, they did manage to make our world’s most favoritest music video for “Just” from their second album, The Bends.
We love this video because it’s not really a music video at all, but a short film. We love that the band are just occasionally shown as observers of what the terrific little short story their telling. It’s not pompous, or over artistic…it’s a good story well told. Even if it’s kind of creepy. If you have a few minutes, check it out. I’ve seen it a million times and it still gives me goosebumps.
BTW, no one knows what the man says at the end and the band won’t come clean. The band claims that if they told you, you’d be lying down in the road, too.
