With the launch of Wry Baby’s New Parents’ Fun Book coming next week (June 2 on wrybaby.com) I wanted to play the week out by sharing some of our favorite pages. Being the Dad in the Wry Baby family, and with MY day, Father’s Day, coming up, I thought I’d share some of the activities for Dads that are included in the book.

Daddy’s Favorite is a spread from the Fun Book for Dad to list his interests, passions and hobbies that he’ll perhaps be taking a year long vacation from once Junior arrives. This fun-to-fill-in list includes: Favorite Hobby, Favorite Sport and Favorite Drink. Oh, and A Celebrity I Think Is Totally Hot along with the favorites below:

Classic baby journals let you log your baby’s specs for that first year (yawn), but we here at Wry Baby think the family unit needs a little more fun and attention. What were you all like? What were you doing? What was going on in your life during that first crazy year? Our idea was that years from now, when little Clarise is starting a family of her own, her copy of the New Parent’s Fun Book will offer a wealth of memories, advice and hilarity from her first crazy year.

We’re so excited! Wry Baby’s New Parents’ Fun Book is almost here! Below is one of our favorite pages from the New Parents’ Fun Book - The Fun Friend Test.

Here’s the scenario. You have a baby and suddenly your single hipster fiends are all trying desperately to stay relevant. Offers for babysitting duty come pouring in. Looks like Wry Baby’s own Mysterio was true to form by posting over the long weekend. And he was RIGHT (when is he wrong!?) because we ate all the meat tubes we could grill yesterday. And we took a rare break from making funny baby clothes to build a tree swing! Just a note to anyone who thinks putting up a tree swing is a super easy project that can be done in a matter of hours: Can’t be done! Especially when the branch is 22 ft. up and your online instructions are oddly wrong. But as you can see below, we eventually managed it and it was totally worth it. Also, we never have to do it again. Yay!

Good times. But now it’s back to the grind, grinding out Wry Baby’s own brand of funny baby clothes and cool baby shower gifts. Wait, that sounds bad. There’s actually no grinding to it. We have a blast making our fun baby gifts every ding dang day. How could we not!? Have you seen our new burp cloth set? OMG. And this week is the week we ship our new book, The Wry Baby New Parents’ Fun Book, to our super cool gift stores all over the world! It’s going to be a great summer.

Kelly and I always thought our kid was pretty super (and still is! Still is!!! Sorry, Pal!). Doesn’t every parent? So why not show the world exactly how super your kid is?
